    Conference Management Services

    GEMS Pty Limited provide the full range of conference and special event management services. For each project we develop a marketing plan and an event operations plan and then implement those plans over the life of the project.



    Our event marketing plans cover promotional strategies, sponsorship, media liaison and marketing budgets. Our event operations plans cover venue liaison, delegate contact, preparation of registration and delegate materials, social and partner programs, accommodation and travel, equipment hire and financial management.

    In addition to these services, we have experienced facilitators on staff who have been successfully used by a range of organisations to get the best out of their conference and seminar programs.

    Risk Management

    All events managed by GEMS undergo a formal risk assessment which would cover, for example:

  • Physical site planning, giving special attention to the risk of someone being injured on site.
  • Health and safety issues, particularly in relation to food preparation if appropriate.
  • Security of presenters, exhibitors, staff and suppliers.
  • Deliveries, site access, disabled access and other site related issues.
    Once all risks have been identified, we will work closely with our suppliers and our client to ensure that these risks are minimised or totally eliminated.

    Sustainable Event Plans

    Throughout the world, governments and corporations are putting a great deal of energy and money into developing sustainable management practices. The common sense of this is obvious.

    GEMS support this commitment and incorporate environmentally sustainable management practices into all event plans. From ensuring all packaging, cutlery and crockery is either reusable or compostable, reducing paper use or developing transport management plans for delegates, sustainability can reduce costs, promote a positive environmental image for our clients and make a genuine contribution to environmental protection.

    GEMS will work with your organisation to develop and implement a sustainable event plan for your activity.

    Event Evaluation

    At the conclusion of each event, GEMS will prepare our client with an Evaluation Report based on the criteria developed in consultation with our clients at the beginning of the project.

    Evaluation criteria could include the level of media coverage, the level of participation by relevant stakeholders, involvement by sponsors, exhibitors and key presenters or levels of exhibitor and presenter satisfaction with stakeholder participation.
