Our Project Director was involved in all aspects of planning for the repair service at 8 Sydney Olympic Park competition venues with the Athletes Village being home to the main repair centre. GEMS worked with SOCOG to manage all aspects of site planning, workforce liaison, development of a workforce induction package, bump in, event execution and bump out.

GEMS Pty Limited were also responsible for the management of all corporate and workforce hospitality programs during the Paralympics as well as managing the pre event media. During the event two of our team were engaged as the Logistics Managers for the service working across the Village and the Athletics, Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, Fencing, Rugby, Table Tennis, Shooting and Archery venues.

GEMS designed a communications program to keep 55 technicians from all over the world informed on the project's progress. The result was a team that arrived in Sydney and were were already familiar with the scope of the event, the venues and their co-workers, and were able to go straight to work.
